Since I'd started with the Vortech stock 6.0" crank pulley and a 3.1" blower pulley, and only saw 8 pounds of boost at the boost gauge in the car, during the rebuild the crank pulley was increased to 6.6" hoping for 9-10 pounds of boost.
But when I drove the thing up to Tulsa to Ed Wright's shop, he measured 12-13 pounds during the dyno tuning. I seem to have at least a three pound drop before the Autometer gauge sees the boost, since driving home I think I only saw 9 pounds once. LGM had got rid of the FMU in anticipation of Mr. Wright's tuning, but in Tulsa he had to raise the fuel pressure a little to make sure the engine got enough fuel at peak top boost level (even with 36lb injectors). Between the technical abilities of the folks at LGM and Mr. Wright's tuning mastery, I'm getting around 25mpg, 0 HC emissions, and 517RWHP!
This run was with the Borla in the fully closed position.
